Leadership

The leadership team is comprised of men and women who have chosen to give of their lives for God’s purposes as they invest their time and energy to build the local church. Our leadership structure consists of Pastors, Elders, and Deacons, along with other leaders who help in every aspect of church life, so that we might see the body of Christ, as the Apostle Paul says: “building up of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:16)

  • Les Taylor

    Elder

Les has been an ordained elder at Long Branch Covenant Church since 1994 and supervisor of Christian Education for over 10 years. Les also leads the Red Bank area Fellowship Group as well as assisting with preaching and teaching.

Although he knew little of the Word at the time of his salvation, he was keenly aware that God had removed his guilt and sin. God had His hand on Les and did not hesitate to upset his plans and replace them with His. Having just finished his first year of teaching in a great school district in Nebraska, he was soon to be married when he received the dreaded draft notice. God turned his world upside-down by sending him with his new wife far from home to an army base in New Jersey! There he learned one of the most important lessons of his life: God's will is good always, even when we are not sure what is going on. It was in New Jersey that Les learned to love the Scripture and became filled with the Spirit. He learned the blessing of living an open and accountable life based in serving the local church.

Les and his wife Anita  live in Red Bank, NJ. Together they raised 3 adult children and now have 5 grandchildren. In addition to church ministry, Les has worked as an engineer at Fort Monmouth,  a teacher and administrator at DeVry University and served for 20 years as a member of the Red Bank Regional Board of Education. On the BOE, he served as president and as the Negotiations Committee Chair. He coached 17 seasons of soccer and baseball for Red bank Parks and Recreation. Les is also a veteran of the United States Army, graduated from the University of Nebraska, received a Master of Science in Education from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

  • Anthony DiMauro

    Elder

Tony  has served as elder since 1994.

Growing up Catholic, he was interested in religion at a young age and had a strong desire to enter the priesthood. After graduation from high school, he attended Ithaca College. Saturated in the 1970’s university lifestyle, he found himself experimenting with drugs and promiscuity yet was still very interested in spiritual life. He pursued different religions and even began reading satanic teachings.

One night, Tony went to Cornell University to watch and listen to the presentation of a well-known illusionist.  By the end of the night, Tony’s quest to find true spirituality was fulfilled. He responded to the speaker’s offer and trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior. This decision changed the course of his life in a dramatic way and he began serving God with his whole heart, leaving his old lifestyle in the past.

In 1975, he enrolled in Salem School of the Bible, New York and went on to serve in the Assembly of God churches as youth pastor.  Tony continues to serve the Long Branch Covenant Church as elder by pastoring one of our fellowship groups. He also oversees the ushers ministry, the greeters ministry, the nursery and the deacons. His life is a testimony to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Tony is a senior vice president for Wells Fargo Insurance Services for over 20 years. He was a volunteer coach and official for the Tinton Falls Recreation Department for 10 years. He also served on the Board of Education for the Central Jersey Christian School for 3 years. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Ithaca College in 1974. Tony's beloved wife, Debbie of 35 years, went to be with the Lord in July of 2014. Together they raised three grown children and have three grandchildren.

  • Tony Moss

    Pastor

Tony Moss serves as our Pastor and leads our team of elders. He has primary responsibility for preaching and teaching, as well as oversight of day-to-day administration and various ministry teams.

In 1975, Tony's life was transformed by God’s power. He was a confident young man on a destructive, self-seeking path that eventually led to disillusionment and disappointment. Through a relationship with a young woman (now his wife), he was introduced to God’s amazing love, forgiveness and grace. He soon relinquished control of his own life to the One who created him for a purpose. This began a new journey serving in ministry, learning theology and preaching the Gospel.

Tony has served in the church since 1983.  He holds an A.A. from Brookdale Community College and a Bachelor of Science from Geneva College. He also received a Certificate of Achievement in Urban Ministry Management from the Center for Urban Theological Studies in Philadelphia.

In addition to church ministry, Tony has been active in the Long Branch community. Over the years, he served in the Little League and Recreation Soccer programs, as a coach and administrator. He and his wife Yvonne have recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. They have four grown children and five grandchildren.
