Leadership

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

  • Tony Moss

    Pastor

Tony Moss serves as our Pastor and leads our team of elders. He has primary responsibility for preaching and teaching, as well as oversight of day-to-day administration and various ministry teams.

In 1975, Tony's life was transformed by God’s power. He was a confident young man on a destructive, self-seeking path that eventually led to disillusionment and disappointment. Through a relationship with a young woman (now his wife), he was introduced to God’s amazing love, forgiveness and grace. He soon relinquished control of his own life to the One who created him for a purpose. This began a new journey serving in ministry, learning theology and preaching the Gospel.

Tony has served in the church since 1983.  He holds an A.A. from Brookdale Community College and a Bachelor of Science from Geneva College. He also received a Certificate of Achievement in Urban Ministry Management from the Center for Urban Theological Studies in Philadelphia.

In addition to church ministry, Tony has been active in the Long Branch community. Currently, he serves as a chaplain on the Long Branch Police Chaplaincy. Over the years, he served as coach and administrator in the Little League and L.B. Recreation Soccer programs. He and his wife Yvonne have four grown children and six grandchildren.

  • Les Taylor

    Elder

Les has been an ordained elder at Long Branch Covenant Church since 1994 and supervisor of Christian Education. Les also leads a Life Group as well as assisting with preaching and teaching.

Les learned to trust God when his world turned upside-down after being drafted and sent with his new wife far from home to an army base in New Jersey! There he learned one of the most important lessons of his life: God's will is good always, even when we are not sure what is going on. It was in New Jersey that Les learned to love the Scripture and became filled with the Spirit. He learned the blessing of living an open and accountable life based in serving the local church.

Les and his wife Anita  live in Red Bank, NJ. Together they raised 3 adult children and now have 8 grandchildren.

  • Anthony DiMauro

    Elder

Tony  has served as elder since 1994.

Growing up Catholic, he was interested in religion at a young age and had a strong desire to enter the priesthood.

While in college, Tony’s quest to find true spirituality was fulfilled while attending Christian presentation. He responded to a speaker’s offer and trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior. This decision changed the course of his life in a dramatic way and he began serving God with his whole heart, leaving his old lifestyle in the past.

In 1975, he enrolled in Salem School of the Bible, New York and went on to serve in the Assembly of God churches as youth pastor.  Tony continues to serve the Long Branch Covenant Church as elder by pastoring one of our fellowship groups. He also oversees the ushers ministry, the greeters ministry, the nursery and the deacons. His life is a testimony to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Tony and his wife, Ruth live in Long Branch. Together, they have four adult children and four grandchildren.
