“And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” - Acts 2:42
Fellowship is an essential element of Biblical church. Throughout the New Testament, Christians are exhorted to love one another, forgive one another, encourage one another, care for one another, and keep one another accountable to God’s standard for living.
Small groups, gathering comfortably in people’s homes, affords a more personal interaction giving us the opportunity to form friendships and to serve one another. These intimate gatherings often include discussion, prayer, worship, and Bible study; sometimes they may be purely social. They most certainly include food! They are the “mortar” connecting the “living stones” of Long Branch Covenant Church.
